I'm still a bit in shock about the death of Avenged Sevenfold's drummer. At just 28 years of age it seems like an awful waste of life and talent. It just goes to show we should make each and everyday of our lives count, as you never know when your time will come. It has made me think a lot about my own day to day life certainly.

It is a big blow to the rock/metal world, in the same year as Evile's loss too. Sad times :(

Hi everyone!

Hope your all very nearly ready for christmas - as usual, I am not :s

I wanted to let you all know of my plans for 2010 - first off, a couple of trips "down south" are deffo on the cards. I hear London calling me and when it does resistance is very much futile. I am hoping to visit for a week or even two depending - I am updating my CV and writing lots of letters in hope I can get some work experience on a fashion magazine. I would really love to work with a creative/art director, brainstorming ideas for photoshoots, casting the models, choosing a photographer, hiring a make-up artist etc. If anyone has any idea of where to look or how to go about this please tell me! I'm hoping to stay in a hostel or perhaps with a friend - would love to stay in Camden, I have never seen the market to this day!

I would like to squeeze in a couple of shoots whilst I am there, so I am on the look out for a couple of photographers who can bring something wonderful to my portfolio - if you are such a person, get in touch! I am aiming for all this to happen around April if possible :)

Other travel plans would have to include Birmingham - I think its about time I went to see all my friends there and maybe catch a cheeky shoot with Dave Charsley (that was a MASSIVE hint there Dave!)

Speaking of shoots - someone please hire me! I want my calender filled this year ;)

I think Divine Oblivion (my band) are just about over. It is very sad, I've had so much fun the past year or so with them. It's not all doom and gloom though - I'm working on a new project which I'm hoping will emerge sometime in 2010, so exciting times :)

My tummy is getting much better now! Still get the odd pain here and there but nothing too bad :) so glad I can eat normally again - never want to see dry toast or crackers ever again lol back to my lovely salmon and rice :D

I have made a decision that may shock, but I have decided to leave modelling, I may pick it back up again one day.....but not in the foreseeable future. There is no tragic story behind it, more simply I have evolved, changed. I still miss my grandmother a hell of a lot, its coming up to a year since she died and I've realised I am different, something of me went with her. Not in a doom/gloom way - more I feel calmer, and no longer need to be seeing different things at a million miles an hour to be happy. I am grateful for small things in life, and have took much more pleasure in being with my daughter or friends than running around catching trains etc.

I have had a wonderful time modelling, and I'm going to honour the last 3 shoots I had booked for clothing companies but thats it! :) I want more time to sing with Divine Oblivion - singing is the only time I truly let go, truly escape into a different realm......Necromantis is fading, my sexual deviant alter ego is being taken over by someone much more important....myself. Law. The person I am to my friends and family. If I have learnt anything these past few years its this - I am not a piece of flesh in front of a camera lens. I am not a glamourous aspirational figure. I am not a number. I am more than that, I am a person.

Onwards! :D

well I've had a strange couple of months. It all started with "attacks" of acute pain in my stomach and going into my back, coupled with indigestion and acid. Quite often I would wake up with these attacks in the middle of the night and I soon found that everytime I ate the pain came - despite not eating much at all my stomach was bloated out like a balloon, to the degree where one of my friends asked if I was pregnant again!

So a trip to the doctor and they told me it was most probably a bowel infection, and take these anti biotics for a week, all will be fine. A week came and went and still the same. I phoned the doctor and told them this and they said not to worry, probably my stomach is inflamed, give it a bit of time to settle. I gave it 2 weeks, cancelled a lot of my photoshoots and still felt the same. Back to the doctor I went, they said it was probably Irritable bowel symdrome, brought on by the lack of food the past 3 weeks. Eat dry toast and crackers until it settles, eat every 2 hours.

I did this for a week, there was slight improvement but I still had pain and bloating. I went to the pharmacist this time, told him my symptoms and he immediately said it was previously a stomach ulcer, and with all the messing around not eating properly for going on 4 weeks I had probably given myself gallbladder disease too.

Back to the doctor, told them what pharmacist had said. immediately to hospital :s
Many tests later and yep, pharmacist was right - I have a stomach ulcer and from 4 weeks of very low calorie eating etc gall stones too!

I'm now on the road to recovery but I'll have gallstones all my life and if things don't settle I may have to have it removed.

Conclusion : Doctors suck. Go to the pharmacist instead. If it had been left untreated much longer, ulcers can turn into cancer very quickly!

Ok guys! I'm part of a team that is putting together a Metal compilation CD to be sold for the charity NSPCC. We have the bands all ready to get recording in July and have lots of press/exposure organised! The CD will be sold internationally on the internet AND in music shops all across the UK!

What we need now is a design for cover/packaging of the CD - in return we will credit you in a "thanks" section and write your name/webpage on the packaging itself, and if you wish I can send you a signed print of any of my pictures in my gallery I will post up all the entries as I get them too

This will be great exposure for the artist and helping a very worthy cause too! ^_^

Paindancer Productions

It was an awful lot of fun, dressing up in Manga / J Rock style and wondering the streets of Manchester's China Town!

What with him being extemely busy and having to get back to the USA, I only just received all the pics last week - but they are well worth the wait! ^_^

London Calling!

Yesterday I went to London and back to do a shoot for "Slim at Home" magazine: www.slimathome.co.uk/

I used to weigh 13 stone 10, but am now a healthy 8 stone 4 so they thought I would be a good feature for the magazine! :)

Taking my trusty diary, I wrote down my day to share with you all, so here we go!

8.20 AM
Arrived at Hull Train Station. Went to the loo, the attendant was no where to be seen. Left my 20p on the desk anyway. Sometimes I'm too honest for my own good.
Big grrrrrrrr goes to the lack of Pepsi Max available in this station! Will have to make do with diet coke =(
Sat on the platform, waiting for the train. Didn't sleep well last night so feeling tired and weak.

9.00 AM
Why does every train journey in the UK seem to change at Doncaster? Yes btw, I'm changing at Doncaster.

10.00 AM
Just changed at Doncaster. Its quite chaotic on this train, everyone seems confused and in a hurry!
Already hearing different languages being spoken, which is really exciting for me! I normally only ever hear Yorkshire (which is a language, NOT an accent)
Everyone keeps staring at me, giving me strange looks :s
This train has Wifi internet access - wow!

11.00 AM
I'm sat next to 2 older gentlemen on the train. They are balding and wearing tweed suits with shiny brown shoes. Their dialog is fantastic! An example of an overheard conversation (no joke!):
"I say old chap! Look at these quirky little fields, all black you see."
"Oh yes! Quite! The water level is higher here you see."
"Ah yes! Excellent for sugar beet I'll wager."
"Indeed!"

12.15 PM
I'm in the back of a black taxi cab, he doesn't know where the road is that I need to get to, so is reading a map while he drives, oh dear :s
Just gone past a pub that looks victorian in style but is dark green and brass in colour. It looks really steampunk and is called "The Rocket" :D

The location for the shoot is a really swish house! Every inch of it is wonderfully decorated, it screams millionaire!
I want to steal the living room chairs.

2.30 PM
The team here have put on a beautiful salad and fruit buffet, very ice indeed!
Its all getting mad in here, around 20 women running around chatting, eating, hair styling, scrambling for make-up and clothes. Much fun.
A lady has just come in and painted my nails bright pink for me (I didn't choose the colour!) I could get used to this!

5.30 PM
Really enjoyed the shoot. The MUA gave me beautiful curly hair which I adore! The photographer (Ant) was really lovely! The little dresses I got to wear were really girly and cute :)
The editor informs me I'll be getting a 2 page spread in the magazine which is fantastic! My issue will be August or September, cant wait to see it!
These shots will show a totally different side to Necro, they are very girly and cute. They are also quite natural, in reality I'm forever laughing and these shots are all smily and happy!

6.25 PM
Waiting for my platform to be announced. It's very busy at Kings Cross! I'm sat down tucking into a hot chocolate and chicken bagette sandwich.

Ate my sandwich too quick and now feel sick :s Also have burnt the roof of my mouth with my hot chocolate. I really need to stop eating in the manner of a half-starved wart hog.

The toilets here are 30p lol! Took a pic while I was in there to show my lovely curly hair <3

Sorry about the scruffy appearance, my leather jacket is really old now, plus its a size 12 so it drowns me! :s

9.30 PM
Arrive back at Hull Station. Mum has just text to ask me to pick up some milk on my way home - back to reality!

CONCLUSION

I LOVE LONDON! I want to go back ASAP and explore it properly!
I actually really like bright pink nail polish :o
I need a properly fitting jacket and a pair of curling tongs

I worked with Phil Winterbourne on the 15th of April, great fun! We did 3 different sets, all shot at Spurn Point. I did my own make up and styling this time!
